Kirsten Moon

Founder, WIS Data Consulting Lab / PhD Researcher, BK21 Program in Future Humanities and Social Entrepreneurship, Sungkyunkwan University

Kirsten Moon is the founder of WIS Consulting, a data analytics and statistical research institute that provides evidence-based consulting for education, policy, and technology sectors. Through her experience leading data-driven projects, she became deeply engaged in understanding how artificial intelligence and automation influence human decision-making, cognitive balance, and social systems. She is currently a PhD candidate and BK21 research assistant in Future Humanities and Social Entrepreneurship at Sungkyunkwan University, where she integrates quantitative analysis with AI governance, ethics, and sustainability research. Her award-winning works include “Financial Stress and COVID-19: A Comprehensive Analysis of the Factors Associated with the Pandemic” and “Unmasking the Phantoms of Generations” (FTA Best Paper Award). At present, she combines her practical experience in data consulting with academic research to advance two interrelated domains: (1) the development of a data-driven framework addressing AI overreliance and digital life balance, and (2) the techno-economic and ethical analysis of AI-powered data centers utilizing Small Modular Reactors (SMRs). Her goal is to establish quantitative, evidence-based models that promote a balance between technological innovation and human-centered governance.
