Cybersecurity Specialist for People Driven Technology

He lives in Grand Haven, MI with his family. While having grown up in Wisconsin, Matt loves West Michigan, the incredibly nature, fishing and outdoor activities we have here and being a part of the tremendous technology community we have. That being said, Matt loves cheese a lot. Matt started on a Helpdesk in 1993 and worked his way through the I.T., infrastructure, network and identity spaces before making his official move into security around 2010. Matt has worked for several West Michigan companies over the years including Haworth, Magna International, Amway and Whirlpool. He has spent the last 15 years on the OEM vendor and reseller side of the house giving him a firm understanding of what the end users, software companies and partner organizations all need to do for everyone to be successful. He loves sharing his decades of experience with his customers and partners and has made customer service and client success part of his career goals. Matt is also the Founder and President of the West Michigan chapter of the Cloud Security Alliance. Since 2019 when it was founded, the West Michigan CSA has become one of the most successful chapters in the entire country with meetup events, trainings and the summer convention CloudCon which happens each July at LMCU Ballpark. Through his work, community and charitable efforts along with his mission to shed light on West Michigan’s incredible IT, network and security talent, Matt has continued to be a leader in the technology space and the overall community.
