Lee E. Micai is the Chief Technology Officer for Mercer County, New Jersey, where he leads the county's technology strategy, IT operations, and digital transformation initiatives. As Mercer County's inaugural CTO, he is responsible for modernizing technology services, strengthening IT governance, and improving how technology supports county departments and public services. Micai began his public service career with Mercer County in 1999 as a Systems Analyst and has built more than two decades of experience in government technology. Prior to his current role, he served in multiple leadership positions with the Mercer County Board of Social Services, including Department Head for Management Information Systems (MIS) and Senior Systems Analyst, where he led technology operations and supported critical public service programs. As CTO, Micai is focused on building collaborative relationships across departments, implementing standardized IT processes, enhancing service delivery through improved support systems, and fostering strong vendor partnerships. He is also leading efforts to leverage technology to make county services more accessible, efficient, and responsive for residents.
