<p data-ms-editor="true">The Minnesota Microsoft 365 User Group was started in 2017 to provide a forum for sharing Microsoft ideas and questions with peers. We meet the second Monday of the month virtually in Teams from 12:00 - 3:00 pm Central Time.&nbsp; Our Workshop Days are held bi-annually in the Spring and Fall to create a place for in-depth knowledge sharing from expert speakers around the world including Microsoft MVP's, Microsoft Regional Directors, Microsoft Product Managers and Engineers, and many subject matter experts focused on Microsoft Teams and M365. Not only do we focus on providing our community with rich technical knowledge to help them in their management of M365, but also give back every month to our local charities through the help of sponsors and our own charity giving campaigns.</p>

Want to learn more about becoming certified for Microsoft 365 but not sure where to start? By focusing on the core four pillars of the M365 Fundamentals, you can leave this session more prepared to take the next step towards being certified for the Modern Workplace ecosystem. 

Within our session, we will discuss the foundations of Microsoft 365, and how you can equip yourself and your organization for success when adopting the platform further in your own tenants.

Key areas of focus:

-  The Basics of Modern Cloud Computing: be able to describe cloud computing, the benefits of cloud computing, and the current cloud computing service types available today.

- Microsoft 365 Deep Dive: be able to describe Microsoft 365 as a collaboration and productivity platform, how to successfully deploy M365 to a variety of endpoints, and how to utilize the analytic tools to further drive adoption

- Security, Compliance, and Privacy: be able to describe how access and manage identities within Entra ID, utilize threat protection with Microsoft Defender, manage compliance with Microsoft Purview, and how to use the Service Trust portal to stay informed with evolving global compliance needs.

- The science of Microsoft 365 Licensing: be able to describe how to effectively license a tenant, and understand the billing options and support offerings that are available.

The goal is to cover as much content as possible, sprinkle in a few demos, and equip you with the knowledge to study for the M365 fundamentals exam at your own pace after leaving our session.

In this session, discover how to move past resource constraints by harnessing free technology resources to improve inefficient processes (like contract management), enhance internal communication and collaboration (through intranet development), and increase productivity (with a seamless cross-functional action item tracker). 

We will share practical insights, guiding you through the steps needed to implement these solutions in your environment, including hands on labs, and a litany of cost-free resources that can empower your journey using Microsoft 365 to increase your organization's productivity, communication, and collaboration.
