Getting Started with Power Automate Cloud Flows (Copilot can help!)

In this session, I will show three common use cases for automation inside standard business processes, using Microsoft Teams, Power Automate and Dynamics 365. I will also explain how these use cases can be translated to connect to other accounting and ERP systems using PA along with additional steps you can utilize with SharePoint as well.

In this session we will go under the covers and unravel the Microsoft Fabric to help educate Power BI developers on the new capabilities available and provide some guidance on how to get started and skilled up on using these new experiences which will include Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Data Pipelines, and Direct Lake mode for Power BI.

Unraveling Microsoft Fabric for the Power BI User

We all start using business intelligence tools by using a single dataset, like a flat file. Then, we hit a plateau in our learning curve, or we add a second flat file into our BI product, and we get incorrect results. One reason is that we haven’t modeled our solution correctly.

In order to move to the next level of our journey along the BI learning curve, we need to understand how a tool like Power BI works. Only then will we understand why we design our data models the way we do.

In this session, we will review how tools like Power BI work under the covers and how that impacts the way we construct our data models. This is an introductory level course, so we will not get too technical, just enough to get us to the next level and moving back up that learning curve!

Data Modeling for Business Intelligence

The end goal of any investment in analytic solutions is business value. How then can this be maximized with Microsoft Fabric?

This session will walk you through a practical business case scenario that demonstrates how to make your Machine Learning model in Microsoft Fabric accessible to the business user so that more business value can be derived from your investment. 

I will walk you through how to consume a Machine Learning Model deployed in Microsoft Fabric with Power Platform Solutions.

We'll connect the bridges between the Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer and the Citizen Developers to facilitate collaboration between professionals using the Microsoft Fabric Workloads and Power Platform.
